I know what you’re probably thinking from the title of this post…this probably isn’t the most fun or glamorous topic I’ve talked about so far here on this blog, but I always want to share any new products I find that make life easier, now matter how “boring” they may be;)
I was recently given the opportunity to collaborate with a company called Rug Pad USA . Since we have an area rug in our living room with no pad underneath it, I jumped at the opportunity to test one out and see how much of a difference (if any) it made. We’ve had our jute rug for over a year now and as much as I love the look of it, it definitely slides around everywhere every time you step on it. I always kind of regretted not buying a pad with it, like it was recommended to do, but at the time I didn’t know if it was “one of those things” you don’t really need and just a waste of money.
The company was super easy to work with. I just told them the size and type of my area rug and the type of flooring underneath and they sent me the appropriate pad. I got the “superior lock 1/3” and the size is 4.10′ x 7.4′, a little smaller than my 5’x 7’6″ rug to make sure you can’t see the pad underneath.
If you’re interested in purchasing a rug pad for your home, Rug Pad USA is a high end rug pad retailer based here in the US. Their pads are more Eco- friendly than the traditional pads on the market you may find at your typical big box stores, which are usually made with chemical filled PVC or plastic that can be toxic and harmful to your floors.
To be honest, before working with this company, I really had no clue there was a difference between rug pads and definitely wasn’t sold on if I even needed one at all. All in all, I’m really happy with the pad. I feel like it makes the area rug sit better on the floor, and I like knowing that the hardwood flooring underneath is protected. It’s also more comfortable to walk on since there’s a little more cushion.
I was given a rug pad for review in exchange for this post. As always, all of my opinions are 100% my own. thanks to Rug Pad USA for collaborating with me on this post!
