Hi guys! I’m back again to share some pics of our living room and dining room all freshened up for spring and my 5 favorite ways to change things up with each season, without breaking the bank.
- Switch out the Pillows/Poufs. I love buying inexpensive pillow covers. Not only are they more cost efficient than buying brand new $25 pillows from Homegoods each season, they take up less space to store. I have the best luck on Amazon and Ebay:) 2. Bring in some fresh Flowers…and fake ones!
3. Clean & Declutter. I know, I know…how annoying am I right now telling you to clean your house…but I can’t redecorate for a new season until I get rid of stuff, put things away and clean. Working with a fresh, clean slate is like therapy. I can’t help it…I have problems. If you don’t already do this, try it. You’ll feel better about life. Trust me.
4. Light a new candle. I know this is real riveting information here…but you’d be surprised how much a new scent can change the whole feel of a space and get you ready for that season. One of my favorites is Bella “Island Moonlight” from Target. It smells exactly like the Capri Blue Anthropologie candles for $13 cheaper. (ps-look at these 2 little supermodels. can you even?! I just wanna squeeze them.) 5. Switch out your table runner. This is kind of like the “dining room version” of switching out pillow covers to me. I’m loving this white light weight linen runner I got from H&M home for $10. But, if you don’t feel like becoming a table runner hoarder like myself, you can always just switch up the center of the table with some fresh flowers in a pitcher or change up the color of your candle sticks.
I hope you guys enjoyed my favorite ways to get ready for a new season. How are you all getting ready for spring? Do you guys use the same tips and tricks as I do? Let me know if you have any other ideas you use to switch things up around your homes. I love seeing what everyone’s up to…find me on Instagram @mysunsetavenue! Thanks so much for stopping by.
Love, Layla
